MEIHUA combines renewable energy infrastructure with several functions that create direct use for the energy and physical assets within the same development.

Renewable generation and battery storage form the core system. Electric vehicle charging adds mobility infrastructure. Cold storage adds commercial refrigeration capacity for food, agriculture, fisheries and supply chains. Community and commercial facilities add further site utilisation.

The project links infrastructure investment with multiple operating uses rather than relying on a single facility or customer activity.

MEIHUA originated from Apraxys' systems thinking in Tonga, where energy, transport, logistics, food storage, infrastructure and commercial activity are closely connected.

Long supply chains and constrained infrastructure make the cost of fragmented systems particularly visible. MEIHUA applies that operating perspective to a single integrated infrastructure development.

Tonga taught us to think in systems because in an island economy, nothing is truly isolated.
